Mac SHARE Distribution Event

On Thursday, October 18, Mac SHARE held one of their bi-weekly produce distributions.  The items--which included squash, apples, kale, onions, and others--were sourced from Good Acre, a food hub located just a few miles north of campus.  Good Acre supports local farmers, many of whom are from minority communities, and provides the infrastructure for them to reach a wider audience for the food that they grow.  Mac SHARE was excited for the opportunity to hold the 10/18 event in the gallery in Janet Wallace as a way to highlight marginalized voices in agriculture and food, a theme that artist Jordan Weber includes in the exhibit.  Mac SHARE is committed to anti-racist work through building community around food.
