Twin Cities+ Student Sustainability Network Brought to Life

On Saturday, April 1, 2017, the Twin Cities+ Student Sustainability Summit was held at Macalester College. The Summit brought together students who are passionate about social and environmental justice for a day of workshops, networking, and capacity building. The Summit served as a launching pad for the Twin Cities+ Student Sustainability Network, which seeks to create intentional spaces and bring together a diverse group of students to promote knowledge exchange, resource sharing, and inter-campus collaboration on sustainability issues.

The Summit left students feeling empowered to act not only on their own campuses, but to recognize the power that we, the students, have in creating change and leveraging durable and just futures within city government and the state legislature, and even the federal administration. We hope this Summit and resulting Network will build momentum for collective regional action by realizing our unique situation living so close to the state capitol here in St. Paul.
