Macalester Becomes NWF EcoLeader Campus Partner
In the Fall of 2017 Macalester signed on to become an EcoLeader Campus Partner through the National Wildlife Federation's EcoLeader program.
EcoLeaders is a program sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation that aims to provide leadership training and career resources for college students passionate about the environment and sustainability. Students may create an account on the EcoLeaders website to access their project and career resources and begin the process to earn an EcoLeader certification. Campus Partner Benefits
- 50% discount on EcoLeader certification ($15 instead of the regular $30). Choose EcoLeader partner option on the payment page.
- Free access to the EcoLeader career planning tool for students (regular fee is $20)
- Free registration for the annual EcoCareers Conference for students, faculty, and staff (2017 registration fees started at $35 for students, $70 for faculty/staff, and $300 for groups of 10 or more)
- EcoLeader Campus Partner students, faculty, and staff are also encouraged to join the NWF ECoLeaders Partners Hub. NWF will post announcements and opportunities in this group for EcoLeader partners, and there is also a Feedback Forum available through which to share feedback about the program and ask questions
EcoCareers Conference
The EcoCareers Conference is an annual online conference sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation that aims to provide resources to students and educators on career planning, to give the conference-goers an opportunity to meet employers in the green sector, and to connect students, faculty, and employers interested in working towards sustainability. The Conference will take place on February 21-22, 2018. To register for free, choose the EcoLeader Campus Partner ticket option on the registration page. Registration is now open for the 2018 conference.
